At Shanti-Som, everything is tailored to you - from your travel dates and chosen program to the pace that feels right for your stay. It is not a boot-camp style retreat. Guests arrive and depart throughout the week, creating a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere where you can connect with like-minded people and feel inspired along the way.

Intimate setting

In Marbella we offer 15 guest rooms, and in the Algarve 22. Unhurried and unpretentious, each location is a quiet place to simply be.

Every retreat includes accommodation in one of our fifteen rooms, full board organic cuisine (three meals plus snacks and juices), daily group yoga and fitness classes, a selection of spa treatments, and a personalised wellness consultation on arrival. Airport transfers, additional treatments and excursions are available at extra cost.

Start with your primary goal. If it is physical — weight loss, detox, fitness — choose the Detox or Weight Loss programme. If it is mental — stress, burnout, sleep — choose Healing, Sleep Wellness or Relaxation. If it is practice-based — yoga, Pilates — choose the corresponding programme. Not sure? Our team will help you design a bespoke combination during your welcome consultation.

Absolutely. Many guests combine elements — for example, a Detox programme with daily yoga classes, or a Healing retreat with Pilates sessions. During your arrival consultation, your practitioner will design a personalised schedule drawing from whichever programmes suit your goals.

Very much so. The majority of our guests travel solo. The intimate setting and shared mealtimes create a warm, supportive atmosphere without any pressure to socialise. You will find a mix of solo travellers, couples and small groups at any given time.

Shanti-Som Marbella is in the foothills of the Sierra de las Nieves, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in Andalusia, Spain. We are approximately 30 minutes from Marbella and 60 minutes from Málaga airport. We offer airport transfers on request.

A second location in the Algarve, Portugal is opening in 2027.

Shanti-Som welcomes guests year-round. Spring (March–May) and autumn (September–November) offer the most pleasant temperatures for outdoor activities. Summer is warm and ideal for pool time, while winter is mild and peaceful — perfect for deeper introspection and fewer guests.

All-inclusive retreat packages start from approximately €1,890 for a three-night stay, depending on the programme and room type. Longer stays offer better value per night. Contact our team for a personalised quote based on your preferred dates and programme.

Not at all. Every programme is adapted to your current fitness level and experience. Whether you have never done yoga before or you are an experienced practitioner, our teachers adjust the sessions to suit you. The same applies to all treatments and therapies — everything is personalised.
