Our Weight Loss Retreat takes a holistic approach to sustainable weight management, addressing not just what you eat, but the physical, emotional, and behavioural patterns that influence your relationship with food and exercise.

Working with our wellness team, you will follow a personalised program combining calorie-controlled nutrition, daily exercise, spa treatments that support metabolism, and wellness coaching to build lasting healthy habits.

This is not a crash diet or boot camp. Our approach is supportive, educational, and designed to create changes that last long after you return home. Minimum stay: 5 nights.

Our doors are open every day of the year. Your retreat begins when you arrive, for as long or as short as you like. We typically require a minimum stay of 3 nights for most programs.

Holistic Approach

At Shanti-Som Wellbeing Retreat, our holistic wellness activities are designed to support the mind, body, and spirit as one interconnected system. Guests are encouraged to take part in a variety of practices such as yoga, meditation, breathwork, guided movement, and nature-based experiences, all aimed at restoring balance and promoting inner calm.

A key focus of this approach is the importance of sleep, as quality rest is essential for recovery, emotional wellbeing, and overall health. By combining mindful activities with improved sleep habits, guests are supported in creating a deeper sense of relaxation, renewal, and long-term wellbeing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Results vary depending on your starting point, program length, and adherence. Most guests lose 2-4 kg in a 7-night stay. More importantly, you will learn the tools and habits needed for continued weight management at home.

Not at all. Our fitness sessions are tailored to your current level. Whether you are a beginner or already active, the program will be adjusted to challenge you appropriately while being safe and enjoyable.

Our nutrition plan is calorie-controlled but not extreme. You will eat three satisfying meals daily, plus healthy snacks. The focus is on nutrient-dense foods that keep you feeling full and energised.

You may notice your meals look similar to other guests at the retreat. However our Wellness Team is working with the kitchen to ensure portion control and specific adjustments are made according to your weight management plan.

We recommend avoiding alcohol during the programme to maximise results. However, this is your retreat and the choice is yours. Our team will advise on the impact of alcohol on your specific goals.

Reservations can be cancelled free of charge up to 14 days before arrival. Cancellations within 14 days incur a charge of one night's stay. Please refer to our Terms & Conditions for full details.

Shanti-Som is located in the village of Monda, in the mountains above Marbella on the Costa del Sol. The nearest airport is Málaga-Costa del Sol (AGP), approximately 45 minutes by car.

We can arrange private airport transfers for your convenience. The retreat is also accessible from Gibraltar airport (1 hour) and Seville airport (2.5 hours).

Guests arriving by car will find free private parking on-site. The mountain location provides the perfect escape from the busy coast while remaining easily accessible.
