Not getting enough sleep can affect everything, from how you feel, look, think and communicate, so it is definitely worth the investment! Happiness is a state of mind. Happiness is a choice. We always have the choice to ask the question, what can I do right now to feel better about myself, my situation and my life? If your happiness depends on external things such as your relationship, your job, your body, your looks, your designer clothes, then you are in major trouble. All of these things are important in some way in your life, in a healthy way, as long as you do not depend on only these things to make you happy. The secret to happiness is simple; find out what you truly love to do and then direct all your energy towards doing it. If you study the happiest, healthiest, most satisfied people of the world, you will see that each of them has found their passion in life and then spent their days pursuing it. Many times this calling, this purpose and this passion is  one that in some ways, serves, motivates and inspires others, making a difference. Simply figure out what turns you on and then do it!! It’s very important as one of my teachers, Gabriella Kortsch, states: “You need to find an inner state of balance to find your happiness within. Your inner peace should only depend on you. Of course it’s difficult with the challenges and obstacles that life throws at us, for example if your child is sick or your partner or someone you know has cancer or is ill. Of course it’s terrible and difficult to cope with but it is how you cope with these things that make the difference, to your attitude, don’t let your diagnosis become your misery. It’s terrible but don’t give in to it! It has been shown that a positive attitude with positive thoughts will help your recovery. You have a better chance at getting well than if you don’t practice positive thinking.” Make sure that you devote one hour daily to yourself and your wellbeing to take a nice walk on the beach or in nature, reading a good book, listening to music, exercising, meditating or doing yoga. All of these are investments in your health and happiness. Spend quality time with family and friends, having good food, good conversations, laughing, playing and living! Become aware. Awareness is being ‘awake in the moment’ being focused on what is going on around you. Being present and focused in the NOW. Stop worrying about the past and what may happen in the future – let life flow. Do your best, take action and then see how life unfolds. Worrying does not achieve anything other than making you fearful, anxious and unhappy! When you regularly do yoga, meditation, exercise, time in silence, time in nature, all this leads you to having calmness, focus and clarity. Happiness is a state of mind. Happiness is a choice. We always have the choice to ask the question, what can I do right now to feel better about myself, my situation and my life? If your happiness depends on external things such as your relationship, your job, your body, your looks, your designer clothes, then you are in major trouble. All of these things are important in some way in your life, in a healthy way, as long as you do not depend on only these things to make you happy. The secret to happiness is simple; find out what you truly love to do and then direct all your energy towards doing it. If you study the happiest, healthiest, most satisfied people of the world, you will see that each of them has found their passion in life and then spent their days pursuing it. Many times this calling, this purpose and this passion is  one that in some ways, serves, motivates and inspires others, making a difference. Simply figure out what turns you on and then do it!! It’s very important as one of my teachers, Gabriella Kortsch, states: “You need to find an inner state of balance to find your happiness within. Your inner peace should only depend on you. Of course it’s difficult with the challenges and obstacles that life throws at us, for example if your child is sick or your partner or someone you know has cancer or is ill. Of course it’s terrible and difficult to cope with but it is how you cope with these things that make the difference, to your attitude, don’t let your diagnosis become your misery. It’s terrible but don’t give in to it! It has been shown that a positive attitude with positive thoughts will help your recovery. You have a better chance at getting well than if you don’t practice positive thinking.” Make sure that you devote one hour daily to yourself and your wellbeing to take a nice walk on the beach or in nature, reading a good book, listening to music, exercising, meditating or doing yoga. All of these are investments in your health and happiness. Spend quality time with family and friends, having good food, good conversations, laughing, playing and living! Become aware. Awareness is being ‘awake in the moment’ being focused on what is going on around you. Being present and focused in the NOW. Stop worrying about the past and what may happen in the future – let life flow. Do your best, take action and then see how life unfolds. Worrying does not achieve anything other than making you fearful, anxious and unhappy! When you regularly do yoga, meditation, exercise, time in silence, time in nature, all this leads you to having calmness, focus and clarity. Investing in your happiness and yourself is the best investment you will ever make. It will not only improve your life but it will improve the lives of those around you. When we do go we’ll want to look and feel our best, so now is the perfect time to kick-start our bodies for that long, languid summer. One of the best ways to lose weight and feel great on the inside is to clear your body of the toxins consumed through food and the atmosphere. Detoxing not only helps remove toxins from the body, which improves skin complexion and body functions, it also helps to raise the metabolism, which in turn leads to weight loss.
