Conditions and Obligations of Participants
All Retreats advertised by us are subject to the following Terms & conditions.
1. BOOKING PROCEDURE
On securing your booking with us, you will be required to pay a non refundable deposit of 50% of the total cost of the retreat per person. We will invoice you for this amount.
A final invoice will be sent to you 6 weeks before your arrival date and payment will become due upon receipt of this invoice. If the balance of the price of your retreat is not paid in time, we reserve the right to cancel your place and retain your deposit.

2. RETREAT PRICES
All payments are in Euros.
All currencies are subject to the daily exchange rate relative to the Euros..
The deposit payments are made via bank transfer.
The remainder to be paid in Euros on arrival or via bank transfer
Early booking for our Yoga & Meditation Retreats is advisable. Places are limited to 16 people.
Priority is given to twin rooms to be shared although a limited number of single accommodation will be available. There is a supplement charge for a single room ( ) Please indicate in your enquiry form if you would like a single room.
Our Retreat prices include accommodation, room towels, all meals, daily yoga classes, daily workshops, physical activities.
Our prices exclude flights, transfers to and from the airport, Holistic/Spa treatments, travel insurance, beach/pool towels, laundry.
3. CANCELLATION BY YOU
You (or any member of your party) may cancel your retreat at any time providing that the cancellation is made by the person submitting the booking form and is made in writing. Cancellation will take effect from the date of receipt of written notification. In the case of all cancellations, we will retain your deposit and, in addition, may apply cancellation charges up to the maximum shown below:

Once your retreat has commenced, no refund or part refund will be repaid in the event of cancellation by you. If the reason for cancellation is covered under the terms of an Insurance Policy, you may be able to reclaim these charges.
4. AMENDMENTS BY YOU
If, after your deposit payment has been credited to our account, you wish to change any part of your retreat, or wish to change departure date, we will do our utmost to make the changes, provided that notification is received in writing from the person who made the booking, at least 8 weeks before departure. There is also an amendment fee payable of £250 per person. Any changes to flight bookings are your responsibility and must be made by agreement with the party who provided your flight tickets.
5. AMENDMENTS BY US
It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your retreat, but we do plan the arrangements many months in advance. Occasionally, changes may have to be made, which we reserve the right to do at any time. Changes are normally minor and we will advise you at the earliest possible date. If a significant change becomes necessary, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible if there is time before your departure. Should a significant change occur, then provided that it does not arise through circumstances amounting to force majeure, you will have the choice of booking another retreat with us, or cancelling your retreat and receiving a full refund. If you choose another retreat that is more expensive you must pay any difference, but it if is cheaper we will make the appropriate refund. Very occasionally, we may have to vary the advertised programme due to staff sickness or other problems, in which case we will always try to provide an equivalent replacement.
We do not accept liability for:
- any of the above events, or others beyond our control;
- loss of or damage to your personal property;
- medical or psychiatric conditions developing during or after your retreat.
6. Cancellation and termination of contract by us
Shanti Som SL has the right, at any time, either before or during the retreat, to expel or debar a participant. If the underlying reason for the expulsion is a breach of the instructions and rules of the Retreat or a person representing Shanti Som, there is no right for repayment or participation fee. If the expulsion takes place after the beginning of the retreat the participant will warned before and instructed of the impending expulsion.
7. Yoga, Meditation, Detox & Corporate retreats
I declare that I am taking part at the offered retreat, of my own free will and on my own responsibility. I am aware that the retreat does not offer conventional medical assistance. The Shanti Som Retreat will give the participant a framework for personal growth. I agree to follow the rules and instructions necessary for this.
8. Health check, Medical costs, Medical confidentiality
I hereby declare that I am not suffering from any medical of physical illness that could put me, or another participant during the retreat in any way in danger. Also, I consent to having a consultation or clarifying talk with the retreat facilitators, or staff if seems this is necessary. The Retreat can rely on the accuracy and completeness of the information I have given about my physical and mental condition as well as my medical history.
I am obliged to immediately inform the staff of the Shanti Som Retreat of any changes in my health, which might in my estimation bring into question my further participation in the event.
9. Drugs
The use of drugs or mood altering substances (hallucinogenic, tranquilizers, etc.) are not allowed.
10. Smoking:
Is not permitted on our presmises. |
